Casey's Wedding Project

Casey and I seem to have luck on our side with this wedding. So much so that almost seems unreal the way things have fallen into place, like the fact the contract with the old sugar mill was never signed because the rental price on the contract was incorrect. We also seemed to have just fell into to Grace Vineyards along with a long list of other "lucky moments" Well so far our luck hasn't run out. This weekend I came across an invitation I thought was amazing and once I yahoo messaged the image to Casey he was all for it. Am I am going to share the invite yet? No you have to wait the months and months until it lands in your mail box but I can show a little clue of our exciting and lucky weekend.

Doing it myself.

I have been really into little projects for the wedding as of late. Take tonight for example, I researched caramel apples and the various ways to decorate them... Did you know that lots of people roll the finished warm caramel apple in crushed oreo? Okay so maybe the rolling into crushed Oreo may not be the best wedding favor idea (can you image the pictures of Aaron smiling with blacked out teeth from too many crushed oreos?) There are lots of very cute ideas though like rolling them in crushed candies, white and milk chocolate chips, and of course nuts.

Can you imagine how cute these could be at each place setting in a little cellophane bag with a "thank you" tag attached?

Wedding Party Ladies

My Maid of Honor I know it sounds cheesy but she really is my "best friend forever" Friends from way back in our "party days" to our "non-smoker" days. She puts a smile on my face with every "Do you remember that one time?"

Tootie is amazing... end of story. She was the one there helping me pull those big white dresses off and I bet she would have helped me clean up accidents in the 4th "R" bathroom if I would have asked.

Catherine: My best friend of 16th street and by far my best Target shopping friend. The one person I know who will always be honest with me.

Alejandra my secret 4th "R" favorite is now my flower girl! she is amazingly cute and witty for a first grader and inspired the 4th R love for I love you more than cheese.

inviations

I think I have found a solution to our invitation dilemma. I have found plenty of invitations that were lovely but cost far more than we wanted to spent as well as invitations that would have been okay and gotten the job done. Now I have what seems to be the perfect solution.

This:

So what the heck is that little machine up there? Well is it a GOCCO and is the most amazing thing I have seen yet. You can print multiple colors at one time and you can print on shirts, wood, and of course PAPER! I have always been drawn to the Target letterpress invites but didn't like the idea of printing them from my computer so, the Gocco is an amazing alternative. I am so in love that I am already planning on magnet save the dates, the invitations of course, and napkins. (more to come about this later)

Bolero!?!?

I like the sound of a bolero it makes me think of being a feminine bull fighter. So, now along with the other million things we actually need for the wedding I want a bolero, at least for today I do.

Option 1) so lovely but not really so warm:

option 2 so so so lovely but I am not sure it goes with my dress

This one has a puff sleeve and can be made in white!

Here is the newest and most favorite (I know that is not a word but I like it!)

Daughter?

So as many of you already know I was raised for the most part by my grandparents, and the only father figure I have had is my grandpa. Of course there was no question that he would be walking me down the aisle but then the troubles came with the father daughter dance. I really love this song but I am worried that that daughter reference is too strong:

Since I am still unsure these are the other song options:

and of course:

So, what do you all think?

The sweet sweet smell

I love flowers! I honestly love flowers so much that I almost always have flowers around the house so as you can guess, the wedding flowers are very important to me. But, nothing is so important that I am willing for Casey and I to be in debt for years and years after the wedding this is what tends to lead to my cheap and crazy do it yourself ideas usually found from too much google. My favorite hair brained idea thus far was the fake wedding cake which you can order for very cheap, and then just add your one slice of real cake for that special cake cutting moment. That idea was quickly shot down and for very good reason of course! However, I am still determined to order the wedding flowers with a little help from google. Here are my ideas:

So now the search is on for the best white hydrangeas on the interweb!

Howdy!

So here it is... the wedding blog.

I figured that there would be plenty of people who just wanted to look at our darn wedding website without having to read about flower options or bridesmaids dresses. So, in order to save their sanity and to fill all of you in that would love to hear my random wedding thoughts I made this blog... Happy reading. And I promise to not be a bridezilla. I hope.
